The White Wolf Board of directors is working on a revised trail map, hopefully we will have it next week, as soon as I get them I will post a bulletin on this website.
#130 20 January 2012: Lack of decent maps
Location: Wabush
Are we ever going to see any decent GPS maps of the trail system, or will someone need to do this and sell them?
#129 18 January 2012: FireStarter
Location: Chalet
Nice to see wood and supplies in chalets... even nicer to sit around and listen to the crackling fire after riding the groomed trails. Thanks you, groomer operators and volunteers.

Another great idea would be, (and I'm not sure if it already exists), but there should be a few checkpoints going in/out/around Labrador. Checking for trail passes. And if you don't have a trail pass, you are given warning, and your information and snowmobile license sticker is recorded. Second offense is a $500 fine. The third and final offense is you have your machine seized and have to pay a hefty fine to have it taken out of the impound.

And its not just the youth thats tearing around with no trail passes.... have spotted many adults at the chalets also without passes. What can we do to address this problem? Once a few people get $500 fines (thats what it should be) for riding trails without pass, maybe issue would lessen.

I don't mean to disrespect you folks who slave over the trails. Hat's off to you. But there is a growing issue concerning the further disrespect and as far as I'm concerned, vandalizing of "our" trails.
There are too many people WITHOUT trail passes tearing the trails to pieces. It's about time someone done something around the trails. But the police can't be bothered with it. So, what can we do? There is only so much we can do. No one heeds the warnings anymore.

I know we had a lousy start as well as other issues BUT mother nature, if as in the last few years, is only gonna give us 10 to 12 weeks before she shuts the trails down.
Lets get on with having another great snowmobile season!!!
